Magnificent - I am SO impressed!

We all know that Forum Members can identify the year and model of a Fender guitar from the haziest information. And now aircraft carriers, too!

I award you an extra three "cool" emoticons: 8) 8) 8)

Cheers - C

You're very welcome. I remembered seeing that ship in New York (from afar). Here's the only shot of her I got as she was leaving NY Harbor on July 6, 2004. NY has a big July 4th Celebration (Independance Day). I caught her as she was leaving - she's about 3 miles away just to the South of the Statue of Liberty.

It's a small world.

And yes, that is part of the view out of my office window when I last worked in NY. A little distracting. I took hundreds of shots out the windows of many different ships, helicopters, airplanes and the harbor.

You're saying a British warship turned up for Independance Day celebrations? My, that could have turned nasty! Lucky we've been friends for such a long time now...

When I was a nine/ten year old we had a school teacher who was in the Royal Navy Reserves, and each year he'd take the class to Devonport, the naval docks in Plymouth (see my pics, above), for a day's visit. One year there was an American carrier tied up there and we were allowed to go aboard and walk about on the flight deck (right word?). It was VAST! Don't know the name, unfortunately, but if you ever see a small city floating past, that's the one. There was a RN nuclear submarine tied up along side: it looked so small and cute by comparison.

I ramble: have a good day.

Cheers - C

I know what you mean about the braveheart thing Ceri, as you're no doubt aware there are a lot of historical inaccuracies in the movie. But hey! don't let facts get in the way of a box office hit

Or just a T-shirt photo tour of Scottish castles. You've so many of the best ones in the world, after all!

Cheers man; all the best - C

Photo tour of Scottish Castles? That's a great idea. And as a McKenzie, I would LOVE to see some pictures of the Eilean Donan castle, or Castle Leod.

Been there back in high school, back in 2000. Planning on taking my girlfriend there in the spring if I can get everything worked out.

So did Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi among others. You have some brilliant footsteps to follow in . Looks like you've made your choice of guitar. Is Susan an influence of yours?

I actually don't listen to too many female guitarists. Don't really know why...

I'm thinking: rocking girl player with a cool look (and shampoo ad hair) and a Tele with attitude - surely Chrissie Hynde, at least?

And have you seen KT Tunstall with her silver sparkle Gretsch?

The world needs more sassy female guitar players. Go to it, FenderFanatic!

Cheers - C
