I got my T-shirts today (notice plural). My God! It only took three days! And everyone was saying that it was taking forever. Maybe cuz......well.....I live in California, and they were coming from Arizona....

Anyway.....I think they look great. And I can't wait to wear one in front of the Gibsonphile, that I play with. I do such things just to irritate him.

Just to let you know.........the people who haven't ordered one yet, they look great! Better than I expected. I think Brad needs an atta-boy for the design.

More great pics, folks. Keep 'em coming!

bmcmillin: now, I know what you're busy a-playin' in that pic and that's quite a paradoxical photo indeed. :-)

Okay, I am busted. But hey! They all came from the same guys, I mean at least in concept and design, right? Anyway, the forum over there is not nearly as cool as this one. This really is the feather in your cap right? I mean, this is the crown jewel in your resume, isn't it? :)

Plus I am looking at getting a sweet Olympic White Strat with a maple fret board soon. It is a killer looking guitar! I just need the wife's permission/approval. :)

A little strategic cropping in Photobucket and, poof, that headstock dissappears. No one would ever know.

O.K. guys heres three more.

I went down to my local Fender dealer and took a few shots just for fun.

They are a local mom & pop that has been in business since the 1930's

This is where I buy most of my Fender gear.

*YEAH*, blues bondsman, THAT's what I'm talkin' about! I'd like to see more pics like that of folks out and about with their forum tees. (And don't feel bad, folks, I haven't contributed any pics fitting that description either as of yet. :-) )

Brad, a little clarification, please.

I am being a bit judicious with my photos, knowing I only get up to 10 in the photo contest (and my first one is pretty weak). Looking at some of these earlier posts where folks are including multiple pictures, do each of those count against the 10, or will we get a chance to pick our Top 10 when it comes time for judging? This would probably make a big difference in the total number of pictures posted. Or should we continue to use BB's original thread for random photos and save our contest worthy photos for this thread.

Your thoughts, please.

There's certainly no comparison -- the other site you're referring to is something I did on a *hobby* basis way back in the very early days of the web before more modern web technologies even existed. So, my work at Fender is definitely the 'crown jewel', yes -- needless to say I feel extremely lucky taking something that I did on a hobby basis and managing to form a career out of it.

Tell her that Fender insists that you rush out and get that guitar IMMEDIATELY. :-)

Great question and I think the method you just mentioned is the way to do it -- i.e., post your 'random' pics in the other thread but save your 'contest-worthy' pics for this thread.

Also, don't worry about going over your 10 pic limit in this thread -- if there's ever a case where you post something 'contest-worthy' but then change your mind later and want to substitute in a newer/better shot for the contest, that's no problem ... just go back and edit your previous post(s) and remove the pic(s) that you want to replace.

And finally ... before the contest shuts down I'll also give a heads up in advance so folks can get in there and ensure that they have only 10 pics posted and that they are their 10 *best* pics.

(In case you're wondering, all I'm trying to do here with all these restrictions is just ensure that at the end of the contest I can easily assemble the 'voting' portion via an automated script to sift through posts and extract images -- i.e., without a lot of manual labor required on my part.)

That sounds good Brad. Thanks for the reply.

Still working on getting Mick Jagger to pose with me, with each of us wearing out Forum T-shirt, so I can win that custom shop guitar prize.

My people are still trying to get a hold of his people.........

Mick's been with me for the weekend. He's had his phone switched off. I just asked: he said call him now on the usual number.

Cheers - C

Could be a race now......but then......it's taking longer for the Forum shirts to make it "across the pond".
