So apparently we’re getting a new vintage/modern series called the Vintera: https://www.gearnews.com/leak-fender-vi ... ed-online/. Anybody have any other news or speculations regarding what Fender might Show at Summer NAMM 2019 next month? I’m hoping to see the American professional series Strat HH switch to pau ferro fretboards and as always for the return of my darling, the Katana. (Although, with the Meteora, the Powercaster and the Sixty-six I feel somewhat greedy wishing for more Fender quirkiness. )

Hello,

The Katana was part of the Custom Prestige series, available in different pickup and hardware configurations. (shown here in black with white polka dots). This TK Masterbuilt creation was made only for 2 years.

Not sure if Fender decides to add the Katana in their Alternate Reality line as it lacks off general demand.

Yeah I know, but I was hoping they’d do a version with the original body shape. ( and preferably at a more attainable price level.)

Not sure if Fender decides to add the Katana in their Alternate Reality line as it lacks off general demand.

Gear4music has a Facebook post for the Vintera series and apparently they have new pickups by Tim Shaw. Excellent!

Me neither, but I have to say, the one pictured is probably the best I've seen. The wear marks are in the right places and tastefully done. Still don't want one though.

They seem to have Pau Ferro fingerboards. Is that good or bad? Can't say I ever played a guitar with Pau Ferro.

It's a matter of taste. Some like them, others not.

The Vintera series is made in Mexico.

I was immediately drawn to the Fiesta Red 50s Tele in the new Vintera Series. Hmmm, and it has a vintage radius 7.25 inch fretboard.

Hmmm. :)
