I'm asking this because Sirius/XM is changing it's channel listings and order Wed. night at 12:00 and the switch is downright unnecessary and confusing. In order to find my old stations I now have to refer to the net as they didn't even send out a mailing of the new listings.I don't have a working printer so I can't even download the new line-up.What do other subscribers think of the switch?

I've given up totally on regular AM/FM and listen only to Sirius and LastFM.

I just bought the wife a new car and it came with three months of XM Radio, after which we were told we could renew the subscription if we so desired. We were about three weeks into our three months when we started being bombarded with calls from XM trying to get us to renew the subscription. It was telemarketing at its absolute most annoying - calls several times a day until I programmed their numbers into my phone and quit answering. Our home answering machine was filled with dozens of calls from umpteen different marketers.

Obviously, if one of these marketers was lucky enough to get us to sign on for life they were looking at a nice commission or bonus. While I was answering my phone I kept telling them to SEND ME THE INFO, so I could actually look at real numbers. They kept telling me that XM didn't do it that way, but lo and behold, what came in the mail last Friday? Yep, a complete list of all the channels (nothing about a switch) and a list of rates from monthly to 3 years at a time.

They peeved me so badly with their marketing blitz I don't know that I will renew. Good music, yeah, but the car came with multiple RCA, USB and Ipod hookups, so who needs 'em?

No use for it.

Radio's rarely on in the car, anyway.

Just don't need 'em. With am/fm+computer+vinyl+tapes+cds+iTunes there aren't enough hours in the day.

Don't want it, Listen mostly to sports talk in car and when the Music is going it's the Ipod plugged into the head.

I had this on a trial. They sent me an offer for $29 for 6 months.
After that they hit your card for the current price ($16/mo) so I'll
be sure to cancel next May before it ends.

Also they have a FREE preview that starts Thursday :

SiriusXM will usually offer you promotional specials to continue your subscription if you call them to cancel. I've had a subscription for years and never paid the full price (I don't think would continue it if forced to pay full price).

That being said, I think satellite is FAR better than terrestrial radio for music. I NEVER listen to FM radio anymore, and haven't for years (still listen to AM for local news and sports talk). I generall listen to XMU and Alt Nation, plus NHL Network Radio.

I agree, for $6 a month to have 140 channels with 18 presets, I'll stay with it too. I have mostly
music stations preset, but I like Barstool Sports too.

If you call and threaten to cancel, they will give you the "real price" with all the discounts. Then I set a reminder for myself in my Outlook calendar for the next year to call again and repeat -- every year. I do the same thing with DirecTV. I pay way less than the "normal prices" by doing this.

The wife loves SiriusXM. I am not a big fan, except when we take family road trips.
