So, the main claim Fender makes for quartersawn wood is that it's some 50% more stable than regular plain-sawn wood. But, stiffening rods also claim to make the neck stable along with alleviating dead spots in the neck. Does anyone have any info on the comparison between these two options?

Welcome to the Forum hachikid. I have both, q on my Jackson V and a skunk stripe on my Precision, truss rods in each. Both stable so far. Youtube might have some comparison videos. Have fun here!
