I got a message in my email today that Stanley Clarke is playing a one night engagement at a small club in Berkeley so I bought my ticket. I want to see him while I still have the chance.

Sounds good. 8) I saw him with Stewart Copeland back in the late 80's, with Animal Logic.

Have a great time seeing Stanley, Rev’. I’m with you. One never knows if these senior artists will be back again; although, if the performance calls it a Farewell tour I’d be suspicious. They’ll likely be back.

It may also be interesting to see who's in the audience being it's the Bay Area. Les Claypool, Paul Jackson, Rocco Prestia (although I think he's in Vegas now), Bobby Vega, Kai Eckhardt (who I took lessons from), Michael Manring, all Bay Area bass heavyweights one can't help but wonder who will be in the audience.

The Keystone Berkeley by any chance ... if it is it even still there?? I used to see tons of bands there back in the day.

The Keystone is long gone. He's playing at the new Freight and Salvage. I say new they moved and re did it about 10 years ago.
