Okay, I saw this on UG a bit ago and figured I'd see what you guys thought. I usually hate the Guitar Hero threads as much as everyone else because they all end in the same result, but this is simply ridiculous.

The parents have to be extremely irresponsible. It's not a stable career and if he fails, he has no marketable talents. I think I'm starting to lose faith in the mental capacity of much of the human race.

Discuss.

OMG! that is crazy!!! I wonder what he's gonna think about this decition several years down the road... I do think that GH is a fun game and all, but never thought it could be taken as anything more. I guess i've been proven wrong..

That's a way to screw up a child's future.

I wouldn't mind it if they stayed in school and played on the side. The kid needs to have some intelligence in case, wait for it.... guitar hero fades out like most other fads

I mean honestly, the kid goes to school until 3. They come home and do homework which is usually 1 hour or less. That leaves hours to practice still if they wanted to play and make money on the side. I don't mind people making money on it. If people are paying, why not? But potentially ruining your future for it? That doesn't make sense to me.

This is why video games shouldn't exist.

That is just insane! This kid has his parents wrapped around his finger! I am afraid this is a decision that they will all regret in the not too distant future!

Kinda makes you wonder when his parents dropped out of school and for what doesn't it?

I think this is marvelous. One less competitor for my kids to deal with in life.

What a loser. Thar stupid game is a fad. Sure it'll be popular for a long time but not long enough for this stupid kid to make a career of it. Oh well, I'm sure McDonalds will hire him once he finds out that you can't make a career out of playing a video game where you pretend to play guitar.
