It'll never happen, The boat will go up with the water.

Samuel was out for a walk when it started to rain. He did not have an umbrella and he wasn’t wearing a hat. His clothes were soaked, yet not a single hair on his head got wet. How could this happen?

Samuel was bald.

A scientist places an organism in a jar. The organism doubles every second. The organisms fill the jar in 24 hours. When is the jar half full?

Answer: At 23:59:59, one second before 24:00:00
BTW: Apparently Samuel wasn't just Bald, he also had NO Eyebrows! LOL
(Eyebrows ARE hairs on your head. The Riddle wasn't location specific.)

My Riddle's answer is a NAME: (& it needs to be spelled correctly!)
(Example: What name does the James Gang, Barnstorm & the Eagles have in common?
The Answer would be: Joe Walsh.)

Here's my 'Mystery Name' Riddle:
What name does Ricky Nelson, John Denver & Elvis have in common?

Bonus Points: Describe the specific instrument attributed to this name and one other name known to play one like it.

My answer is James Burton. He played a Tele.
Others are Keith Richards-The Rolling Stones, Brad Paisley, James Root- Slipknot.

Excellent Morellofan: You get extra bonus points as I was going for Brad Paisley, since a paisley Tele was first (noticeably) used by James and now specifically by Brad. BTW: Since you didn't post a riddle, I'll offer another Mystery Name Game.... this time in reverse; Name the Band:

What group does Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck & Jimmy Page have in common?

Bonus points: What instrument did Jimmy play when he first joined?

Super Extra Bonus: In the last days, the guys temporarily re-named the band (adding a 3-letter word) and THEN evolved into what super-group?

The Yardbirds. Jimmy played a Tele when he first joined. And they evolved into Cream.

So, how did I do?

One-Third correct: The prime answer IS The Yardbirds.... however, Jimmy played BASS when he first joined the Yardbirds. Later, when Jeff left and Jimmy got back on guitar, they temporarily became the NEW Yardbirds and THEN evolved into Led Zeppelin. (New was the added 3-letter word)

Riddle-Question: Name the musician that inspired the group to call itself 'Led Zeppelin' .... AND the band HE was in.

(BTW: Cream was 'born' as a super-group from the out-set; they evolved into Blind Faith.)

That would John Entwistle of the Who.

But these aren't really riddles, more like trivia.

You are getting better; you're half right.... the band IS the WHO, but it was Keith Moon that made the comment: "That'll go over like a Lead Zeppelin" paraphrasing (as he did) the line: That'll go over like a Lead Balloon.

True.... the questions are a bit of trivia but it's so hard to find a musical riddle and we ARE here in this cyber-musical world as musicians. Sorry if I'm a bit off course in the 'riddles' area, however, no one has been posting anything but answers and guesses. If you have an appropriate riddle, please post it. In the mean time, here's another question to answer that will qualify you to post your own riddle-question:

Cream was a power Trio LIVE on stage, BUT was 4-piece in the studio. Name the 4th person, (who later played with what famous group?)

Okay, I am going to go out on a limb here as say George Harrison. Because I know that EC played on While My guitar Gently Weeps.

Sorry.... the key word here is LATER, as in a band formed AFTER Cream.
That band was Mountain.... the 4th member of Cream -in the studio- was Felix Pappalardi (Mountain's bassist-song writer-arranger-singer) who also played Piano on occasion, as a counter (either way) for Jack Bruce who also played both Bass & Piano. (They didn't want to do over-dubs.)

In a trio version of Mountain (called: West, Bruce & Lang) Jack took Felix's place. Question is: How did Felix die &/or the reason for his death was.... ?

Bonus: What artist did many of Mountain's album covers?

Special Bonus: How did the band -Mountain- get it's name?

i don't know, but i really wanna post a real riddle.

You see an old man walking down the street. you see a 10 dollar bill on the concrete, and you say MINE! But the old many picks it up and says, do you want this old, dirty, smelly ten dollar bill, or a new one? For getting the most money, which would you choose?

GUY? Mmmmm Methinks you should go back and re-read HER answer...... take note on what SHE wrote. Hopefully she won't smash her axe over your head.... just to wake you up! LOL

I must say: Interesting 'riddle' AND a good play on words!

In case anyone is wondering, the previous answers are:

1) Felix was shot by his long-time live-in lover, Gail Collins.

2) THE same Gail Collins painted many of Mountain's early album covers.

3) Leslie (Weinstein) West was known -in his early days- as "the Man Mountain" due to his size back then. He has trimmed down considerably.

Maybe she will post her riddle right below me.
