My very first guitar was a crappy acoustic that just couldn't stay in tune longer than 3 secs. The moment you tune the 2nd string, the 1st would go out of tune. And I'm not kiding

Then I got a nice classical guitar that kinda cracked in 4 or 5 places on the top, it seems like the bridge isn't fixed in place (glued) properly. In the mean time I sold the crappy acoustic but kept the classical.

Then I got a Yamaha electric and sold it after a year to buy the strat 8) I still own. All of this happened in about 3 years.

Fender Accoustic my wife bought for me for my birthday 5 years ago
Fender MIM strat I bought for me to learn on. The accoustic is fine but I always wanted an electric guitar.

I tried many different brands and styles before I absolutely fell in love with the Strat. I practice for both of the two hours I get free a day.

I only have one... 1993 MIA Strat. But I've been eyeing the Fender Stratacoustic. That'll likely be my second. 8)

My first guitar was a crappy Squier Strat that had a problem with the 1st E String (it kept snapping for no reason). I got rid of it so I don't play it any more.

My first was a Squier Stratocaster.

I don't have a primary guitar, really... I play my Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster and Epiphone Casino equally, in addition to my acoustic.

The Strats are completely different. They feel about the same, but the sound that comes out of the Fender is leaps and bounds over the Squier. It's also considerably heavier.

The Casino is a completely different guitar.

I now primarily play my '03 USA Strat, Epiphone Sheraton, and Takimine EG523sc.

The first guitar that I actually owned vs. rented is an Alvarez acoustic copy of a Gibson Dove. I still own it (it's over 30 years old!) and it's always out so I can pick it up and play it any time. In fact it's the only acoustic guitar I currently own. I do have a couple of Strat's that get at least as much if not more playing time though.

My first was an old Harmony 6 string in about 1962-63 that got destroyed in a flood at my parents house. the second was an early Alvarez the disappeared around the same time that the girlfriend from that time did. i'm pretty sure they left together but I was in the Air Force at the time and wasn't around. My current favorite is an '02 Alvarez 12 string, favorite electric is my 50th Ann. Am Dlx strat, and the most recent purchase is an SG bass.

My first full sized acoustic was a Harmony. I got it from Sears, this was before Musicians Friend.
