I'm clear over on the other end of the country from Chet. I'm in Virginia, going to school at Naval Operations Base Norfolk until mid next month when I transfer the the Navy's newest Aircraft Carrier, USS George H.W. Bush.

There was a show on the Military Channel about the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan going from Virginia around to San Diego. He was actually on that ship for that trip.

She's treating me very nicely. Her neck is just so nice - it's a treat to tune her, play her, and just sit there picking notes and practicing.

I had been trying to get on a more or less set schedule of practice - this new guitar is helping that a lot - she call's to me - play me

So far neither the family, or our gaggle of cats and dogs have complained - and the neighbors haven't pounded on our door.

I'm now thinking of buying a new amp - the Super Champ XD is looking very nice - it sounds nice too - I played thru one up at a local store in Burlington - very nice tones.

Once more, I get to thank Brad and the staff of Fender for my new guitar.

That's interesting. I have a cousin who lives in Nofolk and works at the Naval Shipyard. He has nothing to do with the actual boats, but his job seems interesting.

How did the family and friends react when you told them you won her?

They couldn't believe it until I showed them the email from Brad

For the next 2 weeks I went around saying to almost everyone - "Did you hear - I won a guitar." - and when she arrived it was an exciting day. My granddaughters really were impressed that I won.

I must have checked the tracking info twice a day - even though I knew it was in a truck (most likely on a rail car) headed east from the Fender warehouse to my little abode up here in Vermont.

Thanks - and once more thanks to Brad and the Fender staff and all of the fine folk who participate here.

Here is the thread where I posted some photos - http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11017
