personally, i've never wanted to play it. i have had somone spit at me because i said it was stupid... i thought it was uncalled for. i've just never understood the point of playing a crappy little plastic controler when I have a real guitar. doesn't make much sense to me. what about you?

its a good finger exercise, thats about it... its somewhat like guitar, but completely different if that makes sense...i don't mind it, theres some good songs, but what i do mind is when people mistake guitar hero talent for actual guitar... some people will say "i can beat free bird on expert, beat that" which annoys me...it's a game so i try and spend a lot more time on actual guitar then wasting time practicing a game when i could be doing the real thing... some people play that game so much that if they picked up a guitar instead of playing it so long they might be a good player

We have it in our house, kids love it. I am being honest when I say that I have never played it. I use my spare time to practice, I don't want to confuse this old brain of mine.

Never played. My youngest granddaughter (16) has played it.

She likes it - but likes my real guitars better.

i have two of em, and its pretty fun especially if you have more than one person and your drinkin. its pretty dumb if your playin by yourself, and if you try to "work at" getting better and faster at it, it's only gonna throw off your coordination of actually fretting real instruments. people i know that play real guitar well usually suck at this game and people that are realy good at this cant realy do too much on an actual fretted instrument. from my experiance anyway. but like i said all in all its pretty fun and was a pretty decent idea as far as getting video game poeple more into music.

It's fun, but it makes people who can't play guitar think that they can. I've played it some, and you have to un-learn a lot of stuff if you do play guitar.

I have to go with jessholl on this one. If you can't play the real thing, why bother. So I too am not interested.

I guess it's fun, but I think the better you are at real guitar, the more you suck at Guitar Hero. Personally I'm pretty bad. I've actually strained my thumb playing guitar hero, causing me to be unable to play REAL guitar as a result of my injury.

Why would anyone who can actually play want to use a video game to play air guitar?

Seems to me the game is for those who can't play guitar and wanna play rock star. Those of us who can play just grab the guitar that's calling us out our collection and make some noise.

I think it's a pretty awesome game actually. People who don't' really know much about guitar will start to pay more attention to guitar parts after playing it. Kind of gives people a greater appreciation for real guitar players. I think it's a pretty fun game, but real guitar is where it's at. I personally have played it quite a bit, but I normally play with friends and have a good time with it. It's a game, and like most games it should be used as a social activity.
