Obviously, your 60 watt Fender is a really nice amp. However, I asked why you chose Peavey equipment as opposed to Fender or any other brand's system and I was curious if (or how much) price influenced your decision.

I know some jingle composers and they too claim the need (on occasion) to pull rabbits from a hat. Such demands and deadlines can be a 'sweat tax' even the government couldn't levy to match.
Thanks for your informative reply. -GM1117

:o
Whoops..... looks like I didn't type fast enough..... LOL

Hi Guitarman again,
Just to bring closure to your enquiry. The guy that ran the local music store was a good friend of mine and he let me have a lot of gear at very competitive prices ( If you know what I mean ? ) He had this Peavey rig in the shop and he let me have it for a ' Good price '
Having said that I have always liked Peavey amps anyway, reliable and well priced and that rig does the job like a breeze. The cost of a similar Fender rig could have been financially prohibitive, I don't know but he didn't have one in the shop anyway or any other for that matter. So I got that.
Is that ok Guitarman and you didn't type too fast I got it
Cheers Rhumba

Yes... thanks Rhumba. Inquisitive nut, aren't I? LOL

I was typing to the first of your back-to-back replies and when I finally posted, I saw you'd already beat me to it...... so, I went back and added the 'whoops'.

BTW: I have a music-dealer friend as well. I was able to acquire several items literally at his cost. (He owed me money for setting up music sequence discs for him.) For example: I got 2 sets of Grover auto-lock, 6-in-line tuners at the list price of ONE set. (basically, half price) 1 set is on my Parker Nitefly, the other is on my HSS Strat. They are the closest thing available to what's on my '86 PRS. (I got used to the convenience.)

My five year old nephew, reckons he's big enough for a real guitar. So I got him this half size electric, it's so cool  Unfortunately I snapped one of the strings, I'll stick a new set of slinkys on it tomorrow.

Added a guitar since my last post. I love show and tell.

I run the DRRI and BJ NOS in parallel, or switch between the 2 with a Lehle Little Dual Amp Switcher pedal. It was kinda pricey, but the only way to do it that I found without a horrible ground loop hum. Worth every penny though. Really cool. If I wanted, I could bring the roof down in that corner of the house.

My nicest player. I think it's my favorite. The neck, the whole guitar in fact, feels as though it was made in heaven. (And I was a Les Paul guy.)

My first love (actually, my second. Had a Gibson Les Paul, Heritage Standard 80 Elite 20 some years ago. To this day, prettiest Les Paul I've ever seen. But this one here is a bad@ss. And I love the look).

Would you believe this was me, 33 years ago? (don't know if anyone saw me play a Tele much)
