Ya Mike is that a Mosrite guitar on the wall near the middle of the picture or is that one of the Eastwood guitars?

6 of the Teles are Squier by Fender, but feel and sound just as good as any MIM Fender I have tried, so I had more money to buy more Squier Teles...

1 Douglas Tele, with a new pickguard, the burl top.

2 SX Teles, modded with new pickguards and a mini HB in the neck for the BSB, the blue with the P90 in the neck, and the butterscotch blond with a mini-humbucker in the neck...

The Doulglas and SXs are very comparable to the Squiers, but the SXs do have finished necks...I can't really find anything that would make me choose 1 over the other at this point, as I like both brands...though Rondo's lower prices are a bit more tempting, I like the fact that Squier have the Fender headstock shape...though I like the SXs headstock as well...Sorry if I am not able to answer your question adequately, its just that they are sort of like Burger King and McDonalds to me...sometimes I have a preference for one over the other, sometimes its just whichever is easily within reach.

The SX Melody Maker? Oh, you must be referring to what I call the "Leslie West sh :!: t" cause the very first time I saw it, I thought, "I gotta get that Leslie West sh :!: t." I like it alot. Kind of reminds of of the Hohner L75 Les Paul-copy I also have photo'd. Great feel, and the P90 is kind of cool...a nice mid ground between single coil and humbucker bridge PUs...for $130, very pleased with that decision...just don't have enough time to play them all as much as I'd like...

I'm sure I see at least one other Eastwood there--I suspect it's a Delta 6--it caught my eye right away--they're cool guitars.

But Mike can tell us for sure.

I'm also interested in the one in the top left corner.

Nice collection though.

It's an older pic and some of the guitars were my bandmate's instruments, but all of the Fender gear and some other guitars were at one time mine. I've downsized a bit since then, but have added some newer gear too.

The guitar in the middle is a Mosrite (circa '68 I believe).

There is an adjacent room that was used for rehearsing, recording and repairs & modifications. The keyboards were in there when pic was taken.

Edit - I've decided to take the pic down due to security reasons. I've had gear ripped off in the past and just don't want to risk it happening again. I'm sure that you understand.

bowlfreshener: Thanks.... It's nice to know there are other Leslie (Weinstein) West fans out there, as he's been a major influence to my playing since I first saw him perform back in the fall of 1966 at Scott Muni's Rolling Stone on East 48th, with the pre- 'Mountain' group called 'The Vagrants'. He was a large fellow back then and thus the nick-name "The Man Mountain", from which the band drew it's moniker. (He's since trimmed down considerably, but I doubt he'll ever get anywhere near 'skinny', LOL) Most people only connect Mountain with the initial hit: Mississippi Queen. However, that was followed up by Nantucket Sleighride........ and so much more.

I must say though, IMHO, I've never heard ANYONE pull off Mississippi Queen LIVE..... NO where close to the original recording....... yet..... and I've heard it "attempted" plenty.

Yeah, Mountain and Blue Cheer are 2 of the most overlooked and underappreciated bands when it comes to influences for hard rock and metal back in the day. I have yet to see Mountain or Leslie West live, but I did get the pleasure of seeing Blue Cheer a couple years ago at a small club in Charlottesville...Its hard to believe they've been at it for 40 years, and they still kick major  ss!

Cool--it is a Mosrite, but what was the one in the upper left hand corner?--the archtop. (kind of meaningless without the picture, but I'm still curious. And I get the reason for deleting the picture.)

bowlfreshener: Many groups and individual members (or solo artists) have been sadly overlooked.... what the 'ell.... it took almost 50 years for the morons who 'decide' who wins the R&R Hall of Fame Award to FINALLY give one to THE VENTURES...... nearly EVERY guitarist who started playing back in the early '60s (& even into the '70s) was influenced by them as much as any other band/group/artist in the pre- or post-British Invasion era. Over my 44 year music career & 'love affair' with the guitar, I have heard and read tons of interviews that listed the Ventures, their songs and guitar stylings as having a major influence on so many top guitarists and bassists. Matter of fact, their influence on Japan's guitarists still goes on today! How the brain-dead award givers handed out accolades to musicians who learned FROM the Ventures and yet ignored them as significant contributors in their own right, for well over 2 decades, is beyond me. Duhhhh! AND: If my calculations are correct, I think the Ventures QUALIFIED to be amongst the FIRST inductees, as the Hall of Fame didn't open until some 25 years after Walk, Don't Run was released!

> When we look up to any musician and glean from them, are serious fans and followers, we do take notice of who may have inspired them; BUT, we should TAKE their advice and look (or rather, LISTEN) to who was that person's inspirations, etc.

Several artists that impacted my musical endeavors and (I feel) where NOT given the full respect due them are:

Bubble Puppy (Hot Smoke & Sassafras)
Diesel (Sausalito Summer Nights)
King Crimson (Court of the Crimson King) *album*
Moby Grape (Omaha & Hey Grandma)
Wishbone Ash (There's the Rub) *album*

Only my (near half-century of experienced) OPINION..... but it's gotta be worth taking the time to check it out..... would I BS you? Heck NO! So..... please, do YOURSELF a BIG favor and take my word for it..... you might like what you hear.... and actually learn something old that's new to you! Believe me..... my reputation's at stake here & I'd never steer you wrong! No way, no how...... 100% serious. I don't do BS! (Well, being perfectly honest, I avoid BS as much as humanly possible!) What more can I say? 8)

Hi Guitarman, just to say I agree with all of the above, you speak with a passion worthy of an award in itself.
King Crimson ! oh yes, Court of the Crimson King I remember sitting for hours listening to this, was it back in 1970. Grounbreaking stuff indeed, a unique style and sound. I recall it was Robert Fripp on guitar, Greg Lake and some tremendous percussion work from,er was it Michael Giles. Yeh thanks for reminding me of that one I'll give it another listen.
By the way did you try uploading your pics to photobucket.com you can get them to this site from there.
