just a suggestion that i thought of while browsing this thread.

it would be really awesome for posting riffs and such if the code function was set to use a monospaced font (all characters are the same width, as opposed to a proportional font) - this way people could post their riffs and not have to worry about formatting.

ill agree with that.. when i tried to post a riff it looked good but then i actually posted it and its all out of proportion

Just switched the font face for code blocks to Courier New. You may have the old stylesheet cached in your browser, though, so be sure to refresh your cache.

In other words, if you don't see a fixed font in the code box above it means you've got the old stylesheet cached.
