i would never buy a guitar without it having a rosewood fingerboard. i just think maple looks to plain. :|

i only have one guitar in maple and i love it, the rest are rosewood and they are ok... maple is my fav

you got to realize rosewood telecasters weigh a TON!! My teacher had one but he sold it because he wanted a orange amp and because it was too heavy

Too heavy? I think not.... :lol:

Try a LP Custom or maybe even a Yamaha Studio Lord sometime, if you want to find out what a heavy guitar is. :shock:

Actually the 1981 CE Black and Gold Teles are heavier than my Rosewood Tele as well.

Here's mine with a Rosewood Fretboard, just to stay on topic 8)

I like them both I dont mind playing on either one. I only have one Maple out of 11 guitars but I play it just as often as the others.

i was thinking of getting an all rosewood guitar.... the palo escrito tele was made of a mexican rosewood body.... but i never got any contact from the guy selling it so i guess i'm out of luck

Have maple and rosewood. Rosewood just seems warmer sounding to me. Maple seems more bright sounding. Like them both depending on what I am playing. :lol:
