Actually they had some good psychedelic albums but I think that was their only song that made the radio.

That was the Tee Set.

Echo Park by Keith Barbour. Very depressing to listen to at my age.

Ah yes...and the singer sounded like Joe Cocker a bit.

Another one I liked was 'Ride Captain Ride' by Blues Image. The outro guitar riffage was great!

OK '60s and '70s lovers. Some one hit wonders with considerable riffage . . .

Journey to the Center of the Mind -- Amboy Dukes
(Ted Nugent was in the band)

Hocus Pocus -- Focus

Hot Smoke & Sassafras -- Bubble Puppy
I had the 45 (remember those?) years ago. Found this one on YouTube and found a bunch of others I'd forgotten about, too.

How did Ted ever sustain "that note" for that long? Good call!

I've got you beat - class of '51 here, and yes, I used to play most of those when they were on the charts! You forgot "Nobody But Me" by The Human Beinz. "Pushing Too Hard" by The Seeds is another.

After seeing so many one hit wonders listed by so many forum users I realized something. Many of the songs bring back fond memories, even the songs I really didn't like. I don't think I'll poke fun at any more one hit wonders. They have their place in music history, and there are alot of them. Thanks to all who helped with this moment of clarity.

Golden Earring was not a one-hit band, though. They also had a huge hit with "Twilight Zone", one of the most-played videos ever on MTV (back when MTV actually played ... ummm ... music).
