Every now and then I hear a song that I really liked and wonder what ever happened to that band/artist. There are a few that come to mind right now :

Cars - Gary Numan
Walkin' In Memphis - Marc Cohn
Turning Japenese - The Vapors
No Good To Cry - The Wildweeds (featuring NRBQ's Al Anderson on vocals)

So...got any favorite one hit wonders?

It's sad that a song as poor of quality as that was even a hit.

There is such thing as decent rap. You just don't hear about it because it doesn't get played on the radio. 99% of the rap on the radio is the exact same song (random shouting, the rapper introducing themselves, and then generic rapping about either women, drugs, etc.). Most aren't one hit wonders either. People consistently listen to an artist's new raps even though they sound EXACTLY the same as the last one.

Good call, especially on Tainted Love. That song still packs the dance floors!

I was at the Hard Rock last night and both Tainted Love and Relax were played. They were very well received.
