Happy St. Patrick’s Day from this Irish lad. I hope you’re having a great day.

Being Irish doesn’t mean I like everything Irish. Soda bread isn’t my favourite. Even though I enjoy the Celtic music and an Irish tin whistle, bagpipes really aren’t my thing, but I get it. This might change my mind and, perhaps, yours too.
Happy St. Paddy’s to you all:

See? Cool to be Irish even if it’s just for the day. Enjoy!

My tolerance for bagpipes is usually around 10 seconds but I watched the whole video. Pretty cool.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Fun video thank you Gary. Chicago river is green for St. Paddys so if you live around here today you're Irish by osmosis.

Thanks fellas.

I’m guessing since all those workers went through some trouble to get that green into the Chicago river ya have an obligation to be Irish for the day, Rollie. I think that’s only fair. I eat a lot of Italian, Jewish deli, perogies, Asian and German food and we like parties with the more the merrier so welcome aboard. I read that in 1962 Mayor Daley first thought to dye Chicago’s immediate area of Lake Michigan. The river looks great. 8)Too bad I couldn’t do that. I would dye the Red River, and it would travel the Mississippi from Winnipeg to New Orleans. Who knows? St. Paddy’s not over yet.
As for our love for the bagpipes Marky, we are in good company because, although there are a few holdouts, I’ve never met or seen the originators Italian and Egyptian (they were associated with Rome at the time and added the bag to the borrowed Greek pipes) play one or even ask for one in that matter. I live next to Italians, my cardiologist is Egyptian, and me being Irish can say none of us participate. YMMV

Besides, the modern guitar hadn’t existed in the early days.

Talk about the luck of the Irish . . . my Irish wife (she’s a keeper) just brought me a green beer! I think that’s why we wear green. In case we spill or slobber.
