just heard that this will be peter's last tour. apparently he is having some issues with his hands that are taking their toll.
just a shame- I've been a fan since the humble pie days, and I saw him in the 70's on the Frampton comes alive tour. what a great show.
recent videos on youtube showed him still doing well on recent tours, so I was surprised to hear this. I love his playing, and the fact that he comes across as a genuine everyday guy, especially in interviews, makes me sad. this happened. thanks peter. I've enjoyed the ride, and look forward to seeing you in Michigan this summer one last time.

Too bad, seems like in high school everyone had an 8 track of Frampton comes alive, what a great album.

Best of luck to him

+1

Peter was definitely one of the heavyweights of the '70s.

Anyone remember when he guest-starred on "Black Sheep Squadron", portraying an Australian coast watcher?

Firefox here too, but it opened in what looked like either raw HTML or possibly XML.
Go figure... I just opened it again and it's fine

Sorry to hear of Peter’s condition and related retirement. Not only a great guitarist, and although not the first or only one responsible, he certainly made the talk box popular for all of us to enjoy.

I have a feeling Peter will find other ways to share his talent and experience.

Best PF,
FSB

I hope he retires soon enough to enjoy HIS LIFE! I saw him with Humble Pie, along with Steve Marriott. Amazing players.

I think he has been enjoying his life from the start.
He's not one that we have heard stories of substance abuse and rehab and broken relationships.
Slow and Steady wins the race, and I think Peter is winning.

Hawthorne Racetrack August '76, Gary Wright, Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Yes. I had a gorgeous Blond Woman on my shoulders (with freckles) in front of the stage and Peter walked over in front of us smiling ear to ear and playing some fine guitar, I was impressed but have liked him since Frampton's Camel very talented man.

One of the best shows I've been to in the last few years. Peter Framptons Guitar Circus. Buddy Guy ,B.B. King , [ I think it could have been B.B.s last performance] and Robert Randal sitting in with Peters Band. All in all a fantastic concert. Gratz

So sad to hear about Peter Frampton retiring after he was diagnosed with a type of degenerative muscular disease.

I remember seeing him in concert back in the 70's (a year or two after his famous "Frampton Comes Alive" album was all over the charts). Incredible rock guitarist, singer, and amazing songwriter too!

Remember concerts back in the 70's? You could see amazing bands for next to nothing! The best part was the whole entire concert arena soon became hazy with a massive cloud from all the weed! You could be 100% totally straight going into the concert, but you came out of it stoned, and feeling very hungry! LOL!!!!

+1!

Thankfully most venues were within a couple of miles of a Denny's or a Sambo's (McDonald's corporate had not yet foreseen the need for 24-hour drive-ins).
