1. Anybody who has won American Idol (and also most of the also-rans).
2. Jessica Simpson and her sister (can't remember her name)
3. Actors who had never sung professionally their entire lives and now think they can sing (William Shatner, Telly Savalas, John Travolta, et al)

Quiet Riot wasn't that great of a band, I agree. I do like the songs Mama We're All Crazee Now, and Bang Your Head. But you have to admit, they had some great players with Rudy Sarzo, bass and Randy Rhoads, guitar.

thee worst guitarest ever & I don't want to take the time to look his name up is the orignal lead guitarest from Janis Joplin & the holding co. to this day I still can't figure out what the hell he's playing & why, maybe there was one song he did good on & that was summer time, I can just imagine Janis telling this dude "here take these 6 hits of acid" because they look so small.

Yep, sure do, including seeing him on Carson at least a couple of times. He apparently did a couple of albums and his normal singing voice was at least reasonable. He also supposedly had a fairly good knowledge of pop music from the 30s - 50s. Needless to say, his serious albums (one or two) never get much recognition ... more at this Wikipedia link:

The Jonas Brothers and Kurt Kobain not for his songwriting, but because he is so overrated as a guitar player.

Oops. I spelled Cobain wrong. Just so I dong hurt anyones feelings, I really like Cobain's lyrics. He was really blessed. But I get really annoyed when people call him the best guitar player ever. He wasn't even that good to me.

I agree. I like him and Nirvana, but the guitar praise for Cobain is over-the-top.

Um, no offense, but you really should stop trying to justify everything you say just because it's an 'opinion'. I've seen you posting the word a lot. Overusing a word or phrase makes you look ignorant.

But yeah. I can see what you mean when you say they carry a song forever. Although, I think they're a brilliant band.

I had a music teacher years ago who's biggest objection to rock/pop was that many songs never ended. He hated the "fade out" and considered it poor song crafting. I soon began to agree with him after I and a couple of friends formed a band. It's a pain (as a performing band) to have to figure out an ending for half your set list, particularly when whoever wrote the song to begin with apparently couldn't.

There were a few that left you really scratching your head on how to get out of it. There was one (from distant memory) where I think we never could, so we just did a fade and had the singer do a little dance to distract the audience into not noticing the non-ending. So yep, I go for songs with a nice clean ending ... they make life so much easier.
