I use the picks that nobody else uses- 2.0-3.0mm [exclusively]. Good ol' Jim Dunlop "Stubby" picks never let me down. : :D

what do you play with those picks, and E chord the whole session? at least no one will ever want to steal your ultra gauged picks when you go to guitar centerr

Usually I try to pick my way through simple metal riffs, but with the praiseband, I'm always going through power chords (miserably slow). But not only that, I like the more solid feeling from the pick that I can't get from lighter gauges.

And you're pretty dead accurate- nobody WANTS to steal my picks, much less play with them.

I like thick picks. The thinnest I use now a days is 1.00 mm, but I am starging to get thicker and thicker

Heavy and medium (usually Fender full size) for melodic line surf, pop, jazz, folk rock, lite blues, ethnic, lite country.

A real tortise shell for smooth jazz.

I am curious about those using the thick(er) picks. I'm guessing you like shredding with these (or at least soloing), but what happens when you need to play chords? Especially with open chords, aren't you snapping strings (even power and/or barre chords)?
