Is anyone else getting annoyed that NBC isn't airing coverage of the big events (swimming, gymnastics...) until after 10 o'clock? They are probably doing it to keep people watching after prime time, but it has to be hurting their numbers to only have men's sychronized diving on when everyone's awake.

It's the way the events are scheduled. If you want the swimming and such live, you have to watch it then. They're screwed either way because people are fussy if you show a taping, but then if you want the events live, you have to show it late at night.

I've pretty much only watched the beach volleyball, swimming and gymnastics. those have been pretty exciting.

That's the thing, though, most of the events aren't broadcast live on the east coast and none of the events are broadcast live on the west coast.

This is the only sporting event that I know of where there's a 3 hour delay between the live east coast feed and the west coast feed. By the way, NBC still leaves the "Live" thing on the screen all the time.

Anyway, I'm just mad because I don't want to stay up until midnight to see Michael Phelps. Of course, I still watch, just like they know I will...

I heard some complaints about the live simulcast being delayed, but I didn't know it was that much in some cases. It seems like either NBC is doing a poor job of planning or China is restricting everything because that's what they seem to do.
