If most of the girls from China were even close to 16 then I'll eat a bug! I can't understand why they are allowed to get away with it. Yes, the girls were incredible, but to me it ruins the whole spirit of the games - is it just me?

I think most of them probably actually are 16. I know one of their divers turned 16 two days before her event. The gymnasts are just extremely petite, so their body size may foll you. I'm not defending them as they've already faked some of the fireworks and had a girl lipsync something at the opening ceremonies as well.

There has always been questions about the ages of some of the athletes ages, If I remember correctly some of them have actually been caught.

i watched a little bit... however i have been questioning these olympics. they're cool but, i think they're missing the point. (again with my rant) the olympics were designed to help world peace. How many wars have been there since 1896? Probably over 200. This probably has nothing to do with it, but still. They only take time away from people in the world enjoying their nice weather to watch some poeple (some who seem underaged) throw javelins at nowhere and to watch some people do stuff we do everyday (well mostly) at summer. I can't imagine how many people are going to disagree with me on this... and this has nothing to do with fender lol, except for the fact that i'd play my strat rather than watch it. The only thing that makes it slightly worthwhile is that it happens every four years. :)

How about the fact that there is a war breaking out between Russia and Georgia, and the media seems more concerned about the fact that the Chinese gymnasts look too young. Wow... where are our priorities???

agreed. the georgians probably wanted attention from the media :D... well they get a little... but all i see in yahoo is just stuff about the olympics... days on end... . BTW, we have no priorities :) People seem to be more interested in the olympics rather than the fact that this is like the... i don't know... the 296-7th war since the olympics started in 1896? If we did have some common sense or priorities, guess what, the war in South Ossedia would be over!!! just to keep on topic... i love strats! lol. even if we live in a !%#$#& up world, i am happy to live in America... far away from The MIddle East or Eruoasia.

Is it just me or is it obvious that the fix is in so that the Host country wins the gymnastics. It seems tthe head judge keeps telling them to lower the score because they do not agree with the judges.

He is crazy fast in the water for sure. They showed him on the local news and he was saying he trys to eat 10,000 calories a day. They showed him at a local dinner (The Double TT) and he ate a 6 egg omlet, 6 pancakes, hash browns, and and 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 milk shack and that was for breakfast his other meals make that look small and he never gains weight.

Is anyone else getting annoyed that NBC isn't airing coverage of the big events (swimming, gymnastics...) until after 10 o'clock? They are probably doing it to keep people watching after prime time, but it has to be hurting their numbers to only have men's sychronized diving on when everyone's awake.
