I watched about an hour here and there. I was flipping back and forth with some other things.

We watched most of the opening ceremonies. Did anyone see that box thing? It was pretty amazing.

I don't care for the opening and closing ceremonies.

Watching some Women's Basketball today.

I have been watching one of our local Marylanders in swimming Michael Phelps. I think the guy must be part dolphin.

Yeah I'll be watching some and I hope they'll show more archery than what is normally shown.

With that said my family should be over there in China and we would be if it wasn't for the high school principal  where two of my kids graduated and my youngest is in the marching band. Our band got invited to perform in the opening ceremonies due to their winning state six years in a row plus other things they've done. BUT...our exemplary (hahaha) principal got rid of our band director because she didn't care for him plus she doesn't care for the band period. The school board cleared the way for the China trip but the final sayso was up to her so guess where I'm sitting now? Certainly not in China! :(

Sorry for the rant

^ That really sucks. I think it would be amazing to just take in all the grandeur of the ceremonies and the sheer scale of things.

I'm not into them anymore. Not since it's become so commercial and the atheltes are all professionals. And what the hell is Badmiton doing in the Olympics????
