Anybody interested in watching the Summer Olympics?

I'll be watching some, not sure how much yet and it depends on what else is on.

Same with you. Aside from practices during the weekdays, if there's nothing else on, I'll probably watch some. I'll probably watch a goof amount of the US Basketball team games though.

Hi Chet,

I'll be watching as time allows.

To be honest I enjoy the Winter
Olympics more.

Cheers.

It depends on the time difference. They're basically half a day ahead of US time. I don't think I'll be making it a point to watch, though.

I'll probably be watching the soccer. That's always been a sport that's interested me.

Wish they had more shooting sports, I'd like to try to get into that, now that I've got all these awesome long range marskman skills the USMC taught me.

I will be watching some Chet but I like the Winter Games better. I see we have the smallest group of boxers there in like 50 years and just had another have to go home because he could not make weight. plus one of the gymnastic team members had one drop out from bone spurs on his heel. Not a good start.

Perhaps the summer games would be more interesting if they went back to the original tradition of the Olympians competing nude? I'd be glued to the tv for Women's gymnastics.

We'll be watching in our house. I have a two year old son who thinks that the swimming and running races are the best things that ever happened!

'Am NOT a TV watcher. Cannot stand the thing. "Kill your television" is THE fave bumper sticker, and it dates back 40 years.

That said, the Olympics are going to be watched. There are many, many incredibly devoted, admirable people having the experience of their lives. Good on them. And the parents and coaches and siblings and family and friends who supported them. And to the ones who did just as much, just as long, with just as much hope and devotion, but did not make the teams.

I watched a bit of the opening ceremonies last night. It was pretty fascinating stuff. The Chinese put on a good show as well.
