Yep, that's right. Brett Favre has been traded to the Jets.

I was a bit shocked when I saw this this morning. Eh, doesn't really matter to me either way.

:( We were hoping he'd come down here to Tampa, FL with all of the other retirees. :(

I'm accustomed to that... I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio... I support my local team now that I am down here, but I will ALWAYS be a Browns fan. We've had our share of really bad years. (decades?) :(

Dude! That was brutal! Accurate, but brutal!

You know, Bret was a well respected icon of American Football 6 months ago. Now he is just looking like a spoiled has been. It is sad. He doesn't know the play book, nor any familiarity with the team. It isn't shaping up well for ole Bret!

The really sad thing about all of this is the fact that Brett should have retired and stayed retired a couple of years ago.

I figured that he was making enough with the Wrangler jeans endorsements that he would have surely retired. :?:

Good riddance. Enough drama already. I'm glad it's over. I know he played well here last season. Like it or not, NFL and it's teams are a business, they(Packers) want to rebuild, Brett's at the end of his career, they both have to move on. I hope the Jets get the Brett from last season - or maybe even '96/'97 season(?). Well, maybe not the SuperBowl season Brett, that'll cause more drama here in GB...

It figures we`d get him once he`s burnt out. Maybe he can go on some day trips with the senior citizens to Atlantic City N.J. He can talk about all his wins on the bus ride there and back. That arm is only good for signing autographs at this point. Why the Jets would want him at this stage of his career is beyond me.

Heya, Clearwater...I'm Akron born-and raised, living in PA, but still bleed orange-and-brown. Looking forward to watching the Borwns-Jets preseason game tonight (thank goodness for friends with DirectTV!), but I imagine since it's the New York station, it'll be all Bret talk for most of the game.

And this is going to be our year! Believe it!

Thank God you didn't convert to that Pennsylvania team that shall remain nameless. :)
