I'm glad I'm not the only domesticated animal with that problem. The wife love that I play but hates that I' not sending that same time with her. The ol'catch 22!

Hard to share time with anyone when we are in fact in love with our guitars.

AMEN brother!

Ah yes. As a kid my first serious girlfriend complained that I loved my guitar more than I loved her. I didn't argue....
I remained a virgin until the age of 20.

The worst sound ever? I'd say another Jackson guitar will do me in. :x

(I know the last one I had, said it sounded good...finally traded it BACK for my one-and-only Strat, just couldn't beat the tone!) :D

Had my annual physical last week and of course they did the normal blood tests. Apparently I have two issues, the first is a very high choresterol (not unexpected with my eating habits). They want start treatment but can't until they find out about issue #2 which is an elevated enzyme from my liver. Going back in a couple weeks for more blood work, its probably nothing,,,, but if anyone is type o neg and has a spare liver  I am fine and I am sticking to it.
I was told that one time years ago and they changed one of my meds and it took care of the issue. I had been talking this one so long it was starting to cause that effect., once changed 3 months latter every thing was back to normal. Hopfully it is just something like that because meds have effects on us at times other then the desired.

I'm dreading a call from the Marines. The one in which they call me back up from my Inactive Reserves status.

Last year I developed macular degeneration. Since then I've had 10 injections in my affected eye. Yes, it involves a needle injecting a chemical into my eyeball. So the thing I hate to hear most is, "There's still a little fluid under your retina. I'll have to do an injection."

(The only thing that would be worse would be hearing my eye doctor...whom I affectionately refer to as "iDoc"...say "Oops" during an injection procedure  )

How about:

"Sorry, you're going to have to give up your music room for a nursery."

(Thank GOD I'll never have to hear that again. I had that "fixed" for good.)

At my age (56), my early 40s boss calling me in with a terse "they wanted me to talk to you ... <CLICK>"

(Ironically, despite the dramatic approach, it turned out to be that I was going to finally get the assistant I was approved for 11 years ago ...)

But the absolute worst: gee, you play that guitar good but ... when are you going to learn a song (from girlfriend or parents)???

Well, there's the ever popular "your wife and kids died in a car crash", but since this forum has a bit more levity that that, how about a B flat when I meant to play a B.

There's always this classic: 'Oops...'. Or: 'You know that (insert prized possession) of yours...'?
