One of my earliest musical memories was listening to Dr. Hook on vinyl.

Well, that sucks. If it’s any consolation, Ray had a good run, and he did a fine job of it playing the character to the hilt. What a great contribution he made for us.

RIP Dr. Hook

Thanks, for the heads up Rev J.

Yeah he did. I always joked that Dr. Hook were like the Hippies that your parents told you to stay away from.

I always thought this song was FUnky as all get up:

Most kids introduction to the work of Shel Silverstien (RIP) was "The Giving Tree" and "Where the Sidewalk Ends" .

For me it was Dr. Hook.

“Get My Rocks Off”: I’ve never seen that performance before. Although, I wouldn’t expect less from this great band, that was dyn-o-mite, Rev’. Thanks.:D

It's funny because I was talking to my dad on Christmas and Dr. Hook came up. My folks saw them in a Hockey Rink in the 1970s.

Related I saw this My YouTube front page recently:

"On The Cover Of The Rolling Stone" was a great crowd-pleaser and we used it often to break the ice at an unfamiliar venue.

Thanks for the tunes, Ray......RIP.
