In another thread mentioning "The Police" on VH1 Classic last night, I thought that I'd share this link that is searchable by many different ways to find music (and a lot of it is "live") on TV. Enjoy.

There's also PBS's Soundstage and Austin City Limits.

The Sundance Channel has a great series called Live From Abbey Road.

"Live From Abbey Road" is indeed a good one...and has listings in the original posted link (it's not just VH1).

I watch a lot of youtube videos from a British show called "Later with Jools Holland." He usually seems to have some good acts. May be on a satellite channel, I don't know.

I watch Soundstage and Austin City Limits all the time. They recently had a two part Peter Frampton concert on Soundstage that was very good. I get about 5 PBS stations here, and they all seem to have concerts going on, on Friday and Saturday nights. I even watch some bluegrass concerts. Amazing guitar players (although a different style) on some of those bluegrass concerts.

Watched a 2 part Stevie Nicks concert on PBS a couple of weeks ago. Her voice isn't what it was, but it was good to see her workin. Man, everyone had the hots for her in the 70's.

I saw that one too. I have a DVD of her, from a couple of years ago....performing with Tom Petty (it was his show).

I have several channels that show musical programming, HDNET, MHD, Ovation, along with channels that others have mentioned.

Those sound interesting......but I don't have any "premium" channels". I still remeber MTV, when it actually had music. It really went to dark side of the force, and I never watch that channel anymore.

Believe it or not, I watch all of this stuff too. Being classically trained kind of makes you appreciate ALL forms and genres of music. I try to not miss Headbangers Ball though on MTV because every once in a while (I'm talkin' like every couple of months or so) I'll get to see and hear some absolutely outstanding "metalized craftsmanship". Even though it's soooooo harsh and brutal, the band Warbringer is pretty crazy in their own right with their outlandish riffing 8) . But NEVERMORE is more up my alley (one of my favorites as well) and they also have some really killer videos up there as well.

Jools Holland used to be the pianist for the UK band Squeeze. Anybody remember them?

I wish that Chris Isaak still had a show. I'm constantly checking out the late night TV shows for (hopefully) decent music. Catching videos at 3AM on VH1 is a drag-not because it's too late, but because it seems to be the ONLY time they show them. Unfortunately, I don't get any of the 'premium' music channels on cable.
