Which magazine do you prefer to read, Guitar Player or Guitar World?

I for one prefer Guitar Player. The articles are great and they seem to cover lots of different types of music while Guitar World seems to focus on Metal and Classic Rock.

Neither one the only magazine I buy is Guitar from the U.K. it is not full of ads and like the others and has lots of great articles to read.Best magazine I have found just have to get it each month before B&N sells out of it.

I used to read Guitar Player Magazine when Tommy Tedesco was writing his column about his studio/session experiences.

These days I mostly read autobiographies of musicians and bands instead of those magazines.

I still read Guitar Player, but I'm more into the sister pub, EQ magazine. I'll never know as much about guitar as I want to, but I need to learn about recording. It's my new passion.

Hadn't heard of this one, but after checking out their website, I'm a-gonna check out the local B&N to see if I can find it.

I think you would like it.

I don't remember if they have it at B&N or Border's.

For anyone into recording, there is a great magazine subsciption being offered for no charge to USA residents called Tape Op.

www.tapeop.com

They're based in Sacramento, CA and every month's issue is chock full of tip and tricks for recording as well as recording gear reviews. 8)
