Today's forecast is for a high of 30 F and a low of 20 F. Rrrrrrrr. Summer can't come soon enough.

29 degrees and snowing. 3 inches in the past couple hours, looking at 8-12 total!

That’s a pretty healthy drop. We had 10 - 16cm (roughly 4 to 6 inches) and that brought out the shovels and plows. How come so much for so little snowfall? Well, it blows and drifts. Besides, the residents are responsible for the sidewalks so we more or less do our best accordingly.
Good luck, T2. . . . and wear your toque proudly. :P

Ended up with 8 inches. Got the John Deere out, plowed the driveway (and a couple neighbors too), now it is sleeting! Good weekend to sit and play some guitar!

Gotta love John Deere coming to the rescue. When it’s time to move up these will impress the neighbours:

Those are some pretty amazing snow removal machines, FSB. I liked the T-Tex. No snow machines around here but we have road scrapers that push the desert encroachment off the roads. We don't have blizzards but we do get dust storms. This picture was taken last Fall during monsoon season.

Wow! Those things are amazing, and I’ve seen a photo over Phoenix where my Snowbird relatives told me how they cleaned up after being hit by one. Kinda reminds me of a scene from The Mummy. :P
Thanks, for adding the photo, Marky.

LMAO THAT is some serious snow moving machines! With the exception of the Missouri plows, if I see one of theses I am either completely and utterly lost or those pesky fricking Russkies finally got me and are holding me in Siberia!

Right now it's 59 degrees, and should get down to 56 degrees just before sunrise at 7:00 AM.

We're under an extreme cold warning.

-28C/ -36C with the windchill yesterday.
That's -18F with a windchill of -33F

I had to go and pick up some de-icer for the sidewalk and I could barely stand outside for more than 5 or 10 minutes. The problem being not that it was only bitter cold, but when you don't feel it on your nose and you do on your forehead and ears that's an alarm that your nose might fall off at any time.

Today it's -24C with windchill -37C (-33C with windchill -42C earlier)
That's -11F with windchill -35F (-27F with windchill -44F earlier)

Considering that Winnipeg is the coldest city in the world with a population of over 600,000. and a 1966 recorded -49F temperature (before windchill), today can be considered a beootiful day. 8)

Especially, when you consider this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_cont ... DKaD_htPPk

There now. Doesn't that make you feel warm and toasty? :D
