2018 limited edition Meteora look nice but it is only marketing.

I don't play this game buying thing just because it is new

I have to admit, that's a very cool looking guitar. 8) I like odd ball guitars like that to begin with.

When I was looking that up, I found this on the Fender site: https://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric- ... 00306.html

That is one bass that would get me to go back from short scales to a P-Bass again. So what if the neck is wider, it's called practice until your fingers get used to it. :P

My letter to Santa would include these wishes:

C - CARING. For a kinder world I’d like to see more consideration for others instead of just about “me”.
H - HUMOUR. I’d like to see satire of the situation rather than the cynical personal attacks of today, and to restore a sense of humour to laugh at ourselves, with others, instead of at others plus I miss the old school belly laughs which carried less meanness. :x
R - REALITY. Artificial intelligence appears to be trending with lifestyle to the point of following in the footsteps of entertainment and media of all kinds rather than viewing the real world as it is. Our face value is becoming an emoticon.
I - INTEREST. Time will tell that it’s important to know what one’s contributions are truly needed to keep what one has or needs. It’s better to be a player than to be played.
S - SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS. I’d like them seen for what they are and aren’t. There are no special interest groups. IMO. Just groups, and most of all people. Kids, and adults. Colours are like guitars all doing their part. They can be combined together. Genders are like a gathering of all the guitars of the land. They can all communicate together or separately unto themselves. Separation is a personal thing, but they are more alike than different. Religion is man made and a personal choice not a given. I could go on, but it comes down to my wish for peoples’ privileges (we only have the right to live and breath as George Carlin put it, the rest being a privilege) and not for individual or special interest rights. We have the choice of free speech in the tool box that has all but closed, and we do a poor job of using the other tools with sensibility. That’s a tough way to build bridges. People? Well, they all have issues. The issues do not have special people who are basically like anyone who has an issue - they are simply people with a different issue. The laws should be for people as one. The issues should be handled equally. If special is to be considered then we’re all special except on the voting ballot and, perhaps, in one’s mind. YMMV.

T - TRUST. Things are crazy today.
M - MUSIC. It always makes for a better world.

A - ANSWERS. I don’t actually have any. There are all kind of answers. Answers that work for some, answers that work for all, and answers that work for none. Answers that are correct, answers that are wrong. Answers you want to hear and mean nothing. There are a lot of questions to which the answers have been avoiding an audience including me. I still don’t know if there are aliens.
S - SONG. I’d like Santa to bring me the skill and luck to write a great song about peace, love, and happiness for all and not only for the festive season but for all time. :D

How come I didn’t ask for a new guitar or amp? That’s easy. Every day that’s on my list.
I hope Santa’s good to you. :D

Honestly, at the moment there's nothing I want from Santa.
Unless he has a time machine.
I could be persuaded to do a couple of do-overs in my life but as far as gear is concerned I'm pretty much set.

Maybe a pristine 6G16 would tempt me but I couldn't afford it if it did present itself to me.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Great post FSB.

A cure for cancer for our grandkids. They'll be busy paying off all the debt we're amassing.

Thanks, SBLS. That Tele 51 Telecaster PJ bass, and Parralel Universe Meteora are great choices to ask Santa for, SBLS.

Thank you, vinyl,

Hope Santa brings both of you those gifts.
