the season's back! hall of fame game today! Colts vs. Redskins! GO COLTS!!! I am very excited about this, and as just about every other forum I'm on, here's a place to discuss all things football, NCAA, NFL, it makes no differince! say congrats to people to love the Eagles and Gamecocks, make fun of the fools who love the Bengals or the Clemson Tigers!

to start:
Colts or Redskins

I've been a Packers fan for decades, so you can appreciate my "what the heck are they doing" attitude.

Baltimore Colts NFL Champions 1958
Baltimore Colts NFL Champions 1959
Baltimore Colts NFL Champions 1968
After the merger of NFL AFL Baltimore Colts Superbowl V Champions
Then the sad days of the drunk Irsay destroying the team and sneaking them out of town in the middile of the night 1984. The sad part about it is the NFL alowed him to take the team history. Johnny U was a Baltimore Colt. It was sad that the Cleveland lost there team when Model moved to Baltimore but he left the name and the history there for the new team and started the Raven's own history records Baltimore would have had a a new team but Paul Tagliabue had a thing aganst Baltimore everyone involved said duing the talks Baltimore had the best package on the table for a new team but he would not here it and just used there ofers to work the other cities involved. But it work out we got the Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens xxxv Superbowl Champions

What sort of football is this, 'proper' football or the American stop'n'start variety? Here in Aus proper football is soccer, 'footy' is NRL, then there's Aussie Rules and good ol' rugby too that also come under the same generic banner. We don't have the US sort here, but what I've seen of it on sbs looks confusing.

Anyway, no matter what sort.. footy, schmooty.

Having said that however, I'd probably watch it were it on for it's novelty value. Those are some tight tights they run around in. Right now though I'm looking forward to becoming an instant armchair expert on any one of a hundred different sports I've never seen before at the end of the week when Beijing opens.
