Has anyone tried HD radio? I love it. Commercial free, CD quality. I've been listening to Q104 out of New York (http://www.q1043.com/cc-common/hdradio/ ... id=WAXQ-FM).

Great classic rock, cuts you haven't heard in decades. Heck, the other night they played the entire first side of 2112. How cool is that? It's nice to sit and the computer and listen to 15 minute songs on the radio again.

I've always hung in the background, when new things like that comes out. Just to make sure that it's going to stick and be around for a while.

Look at XM and Sirius radio. They just merged, because both have had difficulty staying in business. And even after the merge, I just read news in the last couple of days that they're still having financial problems. I also remember 4 channel stereo systems in the 70's that never made it.

Some of that equipment costs a lot of money and I want to make sure it's going to be around for a bit.

The nice thing about HD radio on your computer is it's FREE! If you want it elsewhere you'ld have to buy a digital reciever.

I heard that too. Great stuff. I know not all the songs are gonna be "WOW" but I hear enough "WOW" songs to make it seem pretty damn cool.

They're playing Frank now!

This link is for Q104 in New York. http://www.q1043.com/cc-common/hdradio/ ... id=WAXQ-FM

There's lots of other stations all over the country offering HD radio on their websites. Here's a link for a list of stations http://www.hdradio.com/#stationGuideWidgetry

I'm hooked. Great sound quality, no commercials and it's free. Who needs satellite?
