I am aware this is a fender forum, but just FYI
Gibson Brands announced today the appointment of a new CEO and leadership team. Taking the place of long-standing chief officer Henry Juszkiewicz, James "JC" Curleigh will serve as both CEO and president and comes to the company from the Levi Strauss & Co corporation.
Maybe they will make one out of denim

If that Levi's guy is running Gibson, no Gibson purchases for me!

I just read the article about this. I had a feeling this was going to happen, with the whole bankruptcy thing and all.

Having sat in the Captain’s chair, I can say the journey is only as good as the crew, and they can make you look good or bad.

I'm a Fender guy 100% but I will feel bad if Gibson disappears. There are so many great songs with that Gibson guitar sound.

Denim britches are so similar to electric guitars, I'm certain that the leadership transition will be totally seamless.

Well, he improved Levi's profitability by moving production to Asia and using cheaper fabric.

And off-shoring has been the biggest fear about the bankruptcy reorganization.

A guy who just sees guitars as "product" and has already wrecked one iconic USA manufacturer? Crap...

All the Epiphone factory in China needs is a CNC template for the Gibson headstock and a greenlight from management to start making "Gibson" guitars.

I would imagine the price for a vintage Gibson is about to skyrocket. Snatch them up while you can.
