I notice the "Standard" Stratocaster has been dropped from the line up. That was the base model and made in Mexico. Has it been replaced or just the name changed? There seems to be a gap between the "Player" and the Squier line up price wise that the Standard used to fill. Has Mexican production been haulted?

My understanding under the new NAFTA Mexican workers were supposed to be paid on par with USA workers, but I am not sure if that goes for every industry or just automobiles.

The Player series is the new Standard...
And they're MX-serial numbered, made in Mexico.
