So, I was thinking earlier. What if you took a Jazzmaster guitar. Cut a box into it, and put a micro fuzz pedal. I don't know if something like this has been done before. However, I think it is an interesting concept. I'm not super good when it comes to electrical engineering and all that. But I think that the way this could be achieved is by taking a micro fuzz pedal, taking it out of its metal casing, and then cuting a box into the guitar big enough to where the board of the pedal can be put inside. You'd then have to make it to where the knobs are accessible through the front of the guitar. The little footswitch is a major pain and inconvenience if you're trying to turn the pedal on with your hands. So you'd have to replace the little footswitch with some type of button that is easy to press on and off. You'd also have to supply power to the pedal by cutting another box to where a 9 volt batter would be able to fit. You'd then have to do some electrical stuff. Like making it to where the 9v battery can power the pedal, and that the signal of the guitar can pass through the pedal, and then out of the pedal, and out of the guitar through the 1/4 socket.

Now that all the technicalish stuff is done, you're probably wondering "Whats the point of going through all this hassle?" There really isn't one. I mean, like, who else has a pedal IN their guitar, it'd just be a cool thing to have. Not only that, but you can quickly turn fuzz on and off, and easily edit the levels and strength of the fuzz. You'll also be able to do other cool things solely for aesthetic. So like how people would do tremolo or 'volume swells' by moving their volume knob back and forth. You'd be able to do that with the Fuzz pedal. Not only that Jazz and Fuzz are similar words, they both end in 'zz' so the Jazzmaster just makes sense to me. Not only that they have so much more controls on them, that if you are trying to find your own aesthetic, this would be a dope route.

If anyone ends up making one. Please hit me up, and if you want to give me one, that'd be awesome.

If I'm not mistaken, I've seen someone (it might have been Sonic Youth, but I don't remember) attaching effects pedals to their guitars, but I don't think they incorporated them like you posted.

Fuzzy idea ;)

Thing is, that limits the fuzz box to only that guitar. Are you going to build one into every guitar that you play?
The guitar volume control does have an impact on the fuzz and overdrive levels.
Guitars HAVE been produced that had built-in multi-effect systems, as well as midi interfaces and all kinds of other whiz-bang features.
There is a reason they are no longer on the market.

Never heard a Jazzmaster with a fuzz circuit built on-board.

100 % right

It's much more of a disadvantage than a benefit.

Now... just to be weird, I might build a DOD Grunge pedal into an Amazon LP kit.
God knows I haven't used that pedal on my board since 1995
