Amazing Polly in one word - Amazing! Is Polly correct in her assumptions ? Pretty hard to debate. It can all be supported and in a large part verified right now.

Canada is not alone, but it is unique in this subject on this side of the pond. Polly presently has a lot of close current examples on which to lean on.

While we share a great brotherhood with our Big Brother the USA, our population is a comparatively small 37,609,743 as of Thursday, February 6, 2020. We have a history of powerful right-wing authoritarians being replaced by powerful left-wing authoritarians who believe technology will solve everything (at least in their world). Weren’t some of those dreams discussed during the industrial revolution? Now we’re cleaning up a mess? Hey! I was a technical director constantly troubleshooting, and I say Phht!

Other countries have had their own Wild West, revolutions, or similar. We here are pretty much the same complacent willing loyal subjects left with Big Mama and Daddy to show us the way. Just throw us a carrot, a smartphone, and a Canadian LaLa land delicacy, and we’re good to go.

Canada is far more advanced without flaunting for others to believe (or know). History shows we had our chance to join the Free World Super Power status after WWII but feared it wasn’t manageable or cool and declined, preferring to be a sleeping giant in other matters to be brief; but, that’s another story. Even Canucks are intentionally kept out of the loop. They’re more interested in AI and hockey.

Add our underdevelopment, meaningful abundance and variety in resources, an artificially deflated dollar where we don’t owe trillions and have change left over, highly regulated communication that is very focussed, owned by few, and political to a protectionist degree. Then there is our stable energy (much of which is public owned), and food manufacturing and distribution monopolies (easy to mold with little competition on a national basis) and, we are not only designed for changes as discussed in the video, but governments and business have set the wheels in motion officially. It’s in our face and we are ripe for the takers to set an example without having to deal with hoops and hurdles that restrict ramification and execution like others would struggle with.

As it relates, Vancouver, with 93% hydro electricity, aims to become the greenest city in the world in 2020, and they are well on their way. At the very least, they are close now and ready to add to the Orwellian scenario. Loblaws, a Canadian food chain giant of it’s own, has taken ownership of other major food chains including Safeway Canada, and they are experimenting with these businesses in being green, adding good and bad
technology, and marketing including their own branding and promotion of artificial meats throughout the group.

Bitcoin ATMs sit in malls and outside the front doors of banks? 4,860 miles / 7, 821km of Trans Canada Highway is presently getting electric power supply for cars from coast to coast. The list goes on, and it’s happening now.

I’m always open minded on views like this report by Amazing Polly, and yet I’m always ready to question them with skepticism and I read between the lines looking for evidence. The WTO can help out there. Brexit may have upset the apple cart and it may seem clear from the frontside (but, it may be that returning to self administration on a smaller scale is more manageable to get that questionable desired result that can be combined with others who follow or share in their footsteps).

Too much to discuss here suffice to say, “Is Amazing Polly correct?” Is it a conspiracy or fabricated story? Look around and you’ll find the answer. If not now, you soon will. As apps replace channels we will have no choice but to change our TVs which will update and deliver programming as dictated. Can we change the direction? There’s not a ghost of a chance that will happen. The modern world has introduced itself to the Bedouin and the Amazon. :|
At my age, I’ll leave the success or failure to my beneficiaries.

Great post, Rollie.
