I like my Mad Professor, Sweet Honey Overdrive. I use it to push the amp its quite a responsive pedal theat reacts to the dynamics of your playing, dig in and you get crunch, take it easy and it cleans up.

I plug it into a Peavey Wynsor Studio with a bit of gain diled in. I tend to just play my own music, a bit country and a bit rock.

I agree. Not only does it sound good, I like the dirt and still it has an openness to it without veiling the nuances. It also appears to be one way to save on the variety of a few pedals combined.
