Hi All,
I recently bought a Rockford Fosgate '25 to life' Fender stratocaster (2005 Korean).
Can anybody tell me more about this guitar?
I have read there were two versions:
1. custom shop USA, 25 built.
2. Korean, 700 built for RF dealers.
Is this true?

So what is the deal with this Fender... i guess 1 of 700 makes it quite unique and collectible, but there's no real info on this guitar.

Best Regards,
Ferrie.

It's legit. Only 700 of these guitars were made. Produced in Korea.
I never heard of a CS version.

Regarding "collectability"...

Fender has made lots of promotional guitars. Any company that wants hundreds of guitars specially painted can order them. I've seen Budweiser and Miller Strats hanging in beer stores, and I seem to recall John Deere Strats.

Fender doesn't advertise them or issue press releases, because they're already sold before they're made.

The guitars themselves are stock lower end instruments. The only thing special about them are the silkscreened graphics.

Virtually no guitar collector interest. If you find someone who collects Rockford Fosgate memorabilia, they might pay a small premium. But there probably aren't a lot of R-F collectors.

There are a lot of Budweiser collectors. But even the Bud Strats don't sell for big bucks.

It's a decent starter guitar. And a nice "conversation piece".

But it's just a "novelty", not an "investment".
