Hi guys, I have a bdri and want it to look a bit older and worn but I don't want to use lacquer, has anyone used other techniques, some suggestions I had was to spill beer and leave coffee rings and cigarette burns, any other suggestions?

First off, I (personally) hate the coffee rings and cigarette burns idea. Just a wild thought ... shoe polish is really good on tinting white necks. Maybe it would add some aging to tweed?

Try this:

1. Never clean it
2. Always set your drinks and food on top like it's an end table
3. Play a lot of gigs (especially bar gigs)

that's how those old aged amps ended up looking that way. I can't recommend having lit cigarettes near it, as nobody seriously still smokes cigarettes these days, right? Right??

This table is 3 years old, how much do they cost now?

+1

And much of a used-and-abused bar amp's character is derived from its myriad of nicks and tears to the grill cloth. Encourage your cat(s) to indulge themselves by using it as a scratching post (Maine Coons and Abyssinians are particularly brutal).

Don’t forget to throw in some Kitty Litter and a rubber mouse in the back. Cool cats need not apply.
