You're welcome, Rollie! I'm thankful for my left-handedness. Sure, there are fewer guitars available, but that helps prevent me from going on big spending sprees! :)

Under other circumstances. I would applaude Left Handers’ Day. My brother was left handed, but became ambidextrous. Right now my right hand and arm are somewhat out of commission on a mend. My left hand isn’t cutting it, but I’m giving it a good workout.
On the other hand, based on my experience and not Jimi Hendrix’s Experience, you have my sympathy. So yeah. I’ll wish you a

Happy Left Handers Day. :D

I'm actually left handed, but I learned to play on a right handed bass (they didn't have any lefty ones, and I didn't even think about it at the time.) When you think about it, it makes more sense, since you're doing all of the work (fretting the notes, etc.) with your dominate hand.

That explains my bad fret hand. I knew I got short changed. Thanks, for giving me a legitimate excuse, Paul.

Well, it does make sense, when you think about it, or maybe my brain is just wired weird. :P

I actually started out playing right-handed, and played right-handed bass in a couple of bands back in college. I will agree that having a stronger fretting hand helped immensely for bass. My problem was with my picking hand. I did alright playing with my fingers on a bass guitar. But anything I tried to do on either guitar or bass with a pick was a hot mess. After about four years of playing righty I switched to a left-handed guitar and never looked back. Overall, I feel more confident and comfortable playing lefty and am happy that Fender, in particular, has a decent selection of guitars for us southpaws who could never quite get the hang of right-handed playing.

Don’t fret about not being comfortable playing right handed, schnepf13. I’m still working on it, and I am right handed.

I hear you. FSB! "Confident and comfortable" are certainly relative terms for me. I'm hoping to fully get a hang of all of it sometime at least before I'm ready for the nursing home!

I know you’ll be just fine, schnepf13. You’ll get it. Who knows? You could get to be the main act at a nursing home.
That’s what my friend and founder of the Guess Who, Chad Allan did. I guess the crowd is getting to the age where Shaking All Over is an oldie but goodie in the homes. :P

I would post a picture of Tony Iommi, but it would require 5 minutes of searching for an image I can directly link to. Just pretend this is Tony:
