Hello ppl. I am not new here but totally deleted and forgot my username. So made another account.
I am looking for a strat as I have a Tele USA 2003 and a Les Paul Tribute 50.

I am planning to trade my les paul for the strat in question. I will translate the seller ad to english.
Need some advice if it is legit (I will go see the guitar in person but don't want to waste time if its fake - it seems legit but...) and if you would do trade if it were you.

So here it is:
https://www.olx.pt/anuncio/fender-strat ... 78bcf1192b

add transcription:
Fender Stratocaster American Deluxe HSS 2010 3-Tone Sunburst.

This is a original/stock guitar with the exception of bridge pickup wich was upgraded to Tonerider Classics Alnico IV (a "PAF" type). However I'll inclued the original DH-1.

The guitar condition is fair, a few dents and dings but nothing that will affect its performance or structure integrity

Very versatily instrument regarding it has S1 switch and a "Passing Lane" for more volume and gain.

Includes Fender original ABS Deluxe Moulded Case and Owner's Manual.

Thank you for your time!

1- You are in the wrong section for answer, expert are in Stratocaster guitar section, not here
2- More answer if you post picture here
3- IMO all answer will be same than mine.

Look legit to me with 2 mods.

1- A third hole in the pickgard for aftermarket humbucker screw
2- Push button switch between two volume knob

I'd make the trade in a heart-beat...but I'd put the original pickup back in it.

At first I was not sure of the serial number, but knowing it’s common for transitional building especially sharing necks from one year to the next until production ramps up or previous stock is depleted (a less common practice today than yesteryear though) I know serial numbers can vary. Positioning, font, and size of the letters and numbers are good indicators. Some 2010 headstock has a USA prefix before the number, but others had something else as mentioned here:

https://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?p=420452

The button is period correct and is a passing lane switch on this model. It switches from any pickup direct to the humbucker without tone interference.

N3s were the name of the game and covers on the single coil pickups had N3 Noiseless markings. Like every pickup they are preferential to one’s taste. I have a 2012 Amn Dlx, based on the 2010 and they work fine as intended. Hey! With a total of ten onboard tone/pup selections there’s plenty of choices to like. If it’s a 2010 Strat you want then those N3s are the pups you’ll need. They are available on their own need be, but you might question if the electronics were changed too should the present pickup required it to meet the owner’s vibe. If you decide to customize with noiseless newer N4s are also available. The verdict varies and the N3s have a following as do other pups. I believe N4s should be a fit with the stock electronics, but others in the Strat Forum can bring you up to date there.

The neck should have a satin finish in the back, although a transitional neck may or may not.

Everything else looks to be correct, LSR roller nut, staggered tuners, correct logo on headstock, and more.

Nice Strat. Should you take the Strat, I think you’ll like it for some time, rc_joaopedro. Mine’s a keeper. :D
