That sounds cool. I don't know if I'll be able to catch this one, but back in 2001 I saw a similar tour. It was Alan Parsons, Todd Rundgren, Ann Wilson and John Entwistle (among others) doing a tribute to Abbey Road. Ann Wilson is bulletproof.

That looked like a pretty good show to have seen, ghost_of_strings.

No need to tell of Beck’s and Rodger’s talent. It speaks for itself. Anne is one lady who can more than hold here own. Enjoy the show, Mike. Have a blast.

Seeing Jeff Beck is good for the guitarist's soul. Hopefully, he does not play anything from his last album (Loud Hailer) when you see him ... Unfortunately I saw him on the LH tour. Not good, Jeff. Not good...

I really like how Ann's range is so powerful on anything she sings. Paul Rodgers is great, a Brit living in Canada. Jeff Beck setlist is as follows :

I'm trying to just savor everything that went down last night.

Ann - performing only the growling “Barracuda” from the group (despite many hoping for at least a couple more), but she displayed versatility throughout covers as vast as Yes’ “Your Move,” Audioslave’s “I Am The Highway,” Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me,” Eagles’ cleverly reconstructed “Life In The Fast Lane” and The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” Many will be found on her forthcoming collection “Immortal,” though the live setting found the 68-year-old on fire and in full alignment with her other two musical brothers.

Paul - everything from the blues-inspired hard rock of “Little Bit Of Love,” “Wishing Well,” “Woman” and “Fire And Water,” through the breakthrough “All Right Now” with the 68-year-old’s voice and backing band in exceptional form. Considering Free found most of its fans the first time around in the UK, Bad Company selections such as “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Ready For Love,” “Shooting Star” and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy” actually garnered the most appreciation from this primarily American audience and further spelled out Rodgers’ integral role in the classic rock era.

Jeff - the 74-year-old defied age while flexing flawless chops and refusing to settle into any comfort zone, backed by drum titan Vinnie Colaiuta (Frank Zappa, Sting, Herbie Hancock), all-star bassist Rhonda Smith (Prince, Beyoncé, George Clinton), less noticeable cellist Vanessa Freebairn-Smith, and in some cases, dependable but far from flashy vocalist Jimmy Hall. Though the majority of the material was older (Bonnie Dobson turned The Grateful Dead’s “Morning Dew,” The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s “Little Wing,” his own “Blue Wind,” Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” The Beatles’ “A Day In The Life,” “Going Down”), every single interpretation was approached with fresh ears and kept everyone on their feet.

Yowza! That was a concert to go to. I’d love to have been there at that one, Mike. Glad you had such a great time. Thanks, for standing in for me.

Great synopsis by the way.

I've seen Jeff in shows since the Truth album came out. He never ceases to amaze
me with what he plays or how he plays it.

Saw Ann with Heart a few years ago, so it was cool to hear her doing a lot of covers
instead of the regular Heart tunes and she sounded great on them.

Paul Rodgers is like a minstrel, pacing the stage and talking to the audience and
when the band starts he rises to the occasion with that powerful voice of his!

Thanks, Chromeface for taking me to the concert.
Beck was great, although he sure breaks the rules about turning his back to the audience. That’s kind of old school. Am I surprised? Nope. Seen it before and I’ll see it again.

I remember going to manufacturers’ seminars where the joke was drummers are always willing to share techniques and tricks, while it used to be, and still is to a much lesser degree, hilarious how some guitarists play in such a way or turn away as if they had a national guarded secret. Others, I suppose, are just shy. Segovia wasn’t the greatest audience communicator, but at least he worked with the audience throughout.

I get that Jeff and others want to involve the other musicians, but, they too are involved in performing for the audience, or should be. Playing with the amp settings during a performance can also be a turnoff with exceptions. Style? I call it a pile. :P You wouldn’t want a vocalist to do that, why accept it from a main act instrumentalist? Elvis got creamed for singing in double bass drums.
Maybe, it’s just me, and I’m being tough. It’s not a TV show. Good thing . . . because there would be retakes.

Other than that, Jeff rocked as did the band.
