Folks, the Grand Prize has arrived in Vermont. It arrived yesterday just after noon. I told the UPS driver that I had won it - he didn't believe me at first - but my daughter backed me up.

First off, a big thanks to Brad and the entire staff at Fender for starting this Forum off a year ago, and then having a month long entry period to allow the members of this really nice community to have a chance to enter and win one of the fine prizes.

A second thanks goes to the community that has formed here at the Fender Lounge Forums - a lot of info sharing has taken place - a lot of support for members has taken place - we have grown a lot in the last year.

A few words about the guitar - it's my first "real" Fender and it is just a great instrument. The neck is wonderful - the rolled fingerboard edges feel so fine. The body looks wonderful - it's the new color available this year - Blizzard Pearl. It even sounds great. I dialed thru some of the various settings and it does sound really nice - it will take some time to work thru what the guitar can do - there are a lot of choices. However, the guitar as a plain Strat feels and sounds great.

Here's a few shots of the guitar as it arrived in Vermont - I'll be taking more with a better camera in the days ahead. As usual I've given my new guitar a name - Houbi which means Prize. So without further ado - here she is - my new guitar.

And a big thanks to Fender for supporting this forum and for building some very fine instruments.

I think that Brad needs a really big thank you for helping this community build itself up.

You're one lucky son of a gun. I hope you're enjoying the guitar.

Congrats! With all the time you'll probably spend playing it, we'll probably not see you in here as much, now.
