I have my truck professionally waxed and polished twice a year and I use sun shades to keep direct sunlight from my dash. It doesn't fit in my garage so it's in the sun every day. 8)

Mine sits out in the elements too. I’ve had several garages, underground, attached and detached, manual and automatic doors, and while I liked the advantages when the door works, judging by some around here they are one more thing to upkeep or use for storage. I’m having a hard enough time keeping a shed organized. I did experience 112° in Panama; but, that was measured in the shade so the true temperature was unknown. I do remember that after the meat on my bones was fried it cooled off a little, :D What a great tan I had once the red faded, and my eyebrows grew back after the fire. :P

Wow, that's hot Mike. Sounds like a nice weekend to take in a movie or other indoor activity.

Weather reports around here are the worst I’ve ever seen lately, no matter the source. Sunny on one, sun with cloud on another, rain on another, and predictions off the map.

The craziest weather report was the one yesterday on Weather.com’s app that came with the iPhone or provider. It had a page with hour by hour sun with cloud, a background of animated falling rain, a main title of showers, and a present forecast of sun throughout the day. A tap to the main website showed it to be raining. In reality Old Sol was shining all day without so much as a raindrop.

Hmm. Funny that the experts can do long range forecasts. Last year we saw a newer Euro weather satellite conflict with a North American one that showed a predicted hurricane’s path. One showed the Atlantic, and the other showed the Gulf of Mexico as being the main area of concern. The newer Euro one proved to be correct. They can’t even get the same forecast with consistent reporting across the board, and worse. Here in Winnipeg, since 1961, we originated Black Brant a historical sounding (scientific) rocket still used today with 97% success. NASA, and others have used it. Not only used for fuel experiments, high altitude anti-missile tests, small satellites, and a slew of other interesting launches, but it is also used for weather predictions. You’d think we could forecast in this town. Nope! Just kidding, that would be a huge chunk of change, but definitely more accurate. That's what weather balloons can do. :P Let’s get those drones out.

Although, the following article is dated last year, this is a game changer:
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.forbes. ... laska/amp/

In honour of the Apollo 11 50th anniversary you might enjoy the next article telling how the mission almost had a return scrub because of weather forecasting.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/ ... 51fdb7c949

72°F / 22°C high for today.
Don’t ask if it’s sunny or raining. I haven’t flipped the coin yet.
FSB

Oops! I had trouble posting this earlier. Dropped text and disappearing post. :x Probably iOS or Safari or . . . I didn’t catch the second link being wrong. All corrected now should you like to read about Apollo 11 and it’s weather forecast issues. Sorry ‘bout dat. Dingy genes.

90 degrees. It's a hot one for around here. Humidity isn't so bad, though.

It was 99 yesterday with a 108 heat index and I spent 6 hours out in the sun and heat judging the All Ford and Mustang show here. Our corvette club provides the judges for this every year, and it ALWAYS seems to be the hottest day of the year! Nothing like spending the day in a black top parking lot walking and crawling around cars! Still worn out from it!

I don’t envy your heated situation gang. I heard a music fest in New York was cancelled recently because of the heat. We had an annual 3 day Folk Fest last weekend where a tornado warning on an open country field with stage was a risk. Thankfully, no twister attended the music celebration.

Looks to be a good time for all, T2. :D
Keep cool. 8)

23°C / 74° F high with sun for today.
