If my hunch is right, the Franken-Strat she refers to in the article is the guitar we helped her build years ago by sending her various parts. It's been a privilege to be able to follow her progress though the years including her college music education. She is now formally trained from many sources and hopefully will see success in her endeavors.

Great update and article on Rebecca, Doc. She’s pretty special around here, and you are right. She has grown to be a fine young lady and an equally fine musician.

It wasn’t so long ago that we were talking of the rough times with her Houston family experience, and Hurricane Harvey. It’s much better to hear of good times and the wonderful journey that Rebecca kindly shares with us.

Nice! Continue that wonderful journey, and keep us posted Becks. We always enjoy hearing from you even up here in Canada. :D
PS Have a great and prosperous summer.

Nice! I follow her on some social media sites and it's nice to see her getting
the recognition that she deserves.

Nicely done article and always good to catch up with how her career is going. Good to see she is doing so well and most importantly enjoying it all.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

With all that formal schooling, practice, and gigging, she developed into a helluva player.

2 things:

1. Her playing is very good
2. If it was a dude, y'all wouldn't be gushing like this

We committed to supporting her goals and ambitions when she joined us over 9 years ago..... long before it was legal to gush. I'm guessing she was a 13-14 yo then. There's also been a male youngling or two hanging out here in the past. The screen name 'Emo' comes to mind. None were in it for the long haul like 'Becks'. She's done herself proud.

And I’m guessing a 13-14 year old male would have gotten significantly less attention. Seems like “Olson twin syndrome” to me but hey maybe there are a whole bunch of young male guitar players receiving this kind of recognition on this forum. Can’t say I’ve ever witnessed it but who knows right?

We'd never seen her until she created her Facebook page. She was well into her music by then. You can find your way into Archives here and follow her postings and conversations across the years, and see what it was all about. That Stratocaster is testimony to our willingness to help. You'll learn how it came about. It's not the first of it's kind of the hands of friendship that have been extended from this group. We've lost people from this company across the decade and I'll tell you that it has pained us deeply when they passed.

The opposite gender equivalent of this would be "Handsome young blues God". I'm sorry, I just can't imagine anyone on this forum being quite this "willing to help" a young talented male guitar player and going so far as to call them a "blues God".
