Actually Ritchie has reformed Rainbow and doing limited dates in Europe, Russia and Japan. He had made it clear this is just for a while and will return to Blackmore's Night.

Someone here made a comment about Ritchie eating prunes. To that I say: 1. Whoever you are I am quite sure Ritchie could mop the stage with you in 2 minutes. 2. Very soon along you will be old too! Very soon!

It was more a comment about Satriani being much more succesful, touring, playing, while Blackmore is pretty much a has-been who isn’t doing much of anything worth paying to see. As far as “mopping the floor”, Satriani can easily take care of Blackmore.

Yummpin’ Yimminy. I just caught my double post here. Must be the barometric pressure. Probably not, but it makes for a good story.

I was referring to you and your disrespectful comment. Ritchie is 73 years old and Joe is 62. Not really a comparison. What will Joe be doing in 11 years from now, who knows. But Ritchie is playing to crowds and running 2 bands. So if you want to hop up on stage with him, I am sure he can show you how to "eat prunes". Bring your guitar and I hope its on film because I want to see it. Your going to be old one day God willing. Learn a little respect

Blackmore is the one who went out on a limb criticizing other guitar players. If he makes a dumb comment like that, he should expect some backlash.

I don't care who is older or plays more scales, or any of that stuff. I like listening to Satch more than Blackmore. It's just a preference, who really cares? You don't have to attack the other player's abilities to have a preference. You don't have to hate on vanilla to appreciate chocolate, ya know?

Yes, I lost all respect for Blackmore when he made that comment about Satriani.

K, well after seeing that video I will have to qualify my earlier statement.
I'd pay every night to see him .... back with Purple or at least doing Purple type stuff.
I knew he was doing medieval folk stuff but I had not heard any of it.
That did not float my boat.

Yes a lot of his fans don't care for Blackmore's Knight, but I like much of it. His wife is quite talented and a good songstress. I think she has softened him a bit as she seems to be a polar opposite in personality. He has always said what was on his mind and likes to wind people up.

He has been is doing Rainbow again for the past couple of years with a different line up. Lots of shows in Europe, Russia and Japan. I was never a big Rainbow fan but some of it is OK.
