We have the AXS channel as part of our package and there is always something interesting
to watch usually but on Sunday nights it's great.

Tonight's lineup is The Yardbirds, The Byrds, Sammy Hagar's Show, Eddie Money's Show and Van Morrison.

Tuesday night's "Big Interview with Dan Rather" is good too. I've been watching when I could
and he's interviewed Steve Miller, Eddie Van Halen, Styx, Shania Twain, Bob Dylan, etc..

Tonight :

Sounds good. 8) I'll have to check and see if I get this station, or not.

Yes, I have been watching it for several weeks.

The Classic Albums series is pretty good.

We have that channel too, lots of cool stuff on there.

Have to admit I just watched a Dolly Parton concert from Glastonbury Festival in England, probably 2-3 years old. Man, at first I was just blown away to see the crowd for Dolly but actually enjoyed the show.

The Big Interview: Robert Plant

Dan Rather sits down with Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin's legendary frontman, for a thoughtful conversation touching on Plant's most personal lyrics and the stories behind some of rock's most lasting hits.

I have been watching these interviews. I have never liked Dan Rather, and I still don't, but I have to admit I like his questions. He never asks something stupid like "if you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?"

I have learned something new about everyone that I have seen him interview.

I just watched the Terry Kath Story and it was amazing! I can see why Peter Cetera
left the band now. I never knew they were such good friends. I can relate to having
bandmates who have died and can feel his pain.

Now there's a Dylan tribute concert with all kinds of major talent playing on stage.

Tonight looks to be a good "Legends" show too.

The crowd size doesn’t surprise me. During the British Invasion I found, on a visit to Jolly Old, that Country radio was alive and well. That surprised me in a country without stetsons and drawls. But, there it was and there it is. Very popular.

AFAIK AXS-TV isn’t on this side of the border; but, I can’t say for sure. However, it appears to be a great network.

According to Wiki, it's available, but maybe things have changed since it was posted?

Thanks, for the info., Mike. I see it’s listed on Dish and DirecTV, and some streaming. That’s a possibility here although the CRTC is rather protective when it comes to music channels, but there are some foreign music entries. Cable network likely doesn’t hold true as I doubt the Canadian ones would support the competition.

I’ll poke around and see what’s out there sometime. Thanks, Mike.

Ronny Wood has a weekly show on there now. We watched the first episode with Sir Paul
McCartney and it was great. They were chatting and playing guitars. Next guest is Alice
Cooper and many others in the pipeline.
