Android FTW. I never get out of YouTube for music, but prefer the mobile site to the YouTube app which is a giant turd.

I have a smart phone I use it for phone calls, texting, email, photos, online search, and to bring music via iTunes with me and live radio
So I guess the apps for music is: iTunes, and Radio.com
I use Pro tools and sound forge on my windows computer

On my phone I use:

Cleartune - a pretty decent tuner for acoustics when you don't have one with you.

Chordbank Pro - a fairly good catalogue of guitar chords. I admit I don't use this very much.

Reverse Chord Finder - Even though I use Cleartune far more often than this one I still consider this one to be the most useful to me. I sometimes come up with fingerings I've not seen before and then I can be sometimes stumped as to what to call it when I go to write it down. Reverse Chord Finder gives you a representation of the fretboard and lets you plug in the notes you are playing and then gives you options as to what to call it.

On my tablet I sometimes use OnSong - a scrolling lyric app for performing.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I have recorded (not often) directly through the iPhone mic in a pinch, but I do my post production work on a PC.

However, I use my iPhone with my wife's iPad to stream music in both Bluetooth or WiFi through a pair of HD WiFi speakers. I can use the phone's basic Apple music, YouTube, or the Internet via Bluetooth. The videos do not sync when the audio is wireless on Bluetooth, but there is always the A/C powered speakers' auxiliary input if desired.

A wide selection of WiFi streaming services using a Harmon Kardon app gives me Shoutcast free as the primary source for different genre selections. Then there's Deezer, Juke, Quobuz, and Tidal which are not being paid for or used at this moment. Apple's Library is not only available in Bluetooth as earlier mentioned, it can also be used in higher quality WiFi too.

I use an app called Guitar Tuner with 22 choices for tuning. I also use a TV app from my cable company in case I want a little music (or video) from there.

Hey, Matt. Thanks, for the 'OnSong' tip. I'll have to look into it. :D

OnSong has limited abilities.
I’ve never been able to figure out how to use a Word file and the auto-scroll feature at the same time.
I’ve only ever been able to auto-scroll if I type the lyrics in manually.
It’s a pretty big hassle since I’ve already got countless hours into lyric inputting and formatting in Word.
Hundreds of songs.
If you can figure out how to make it work by all means please let me know.

Hello little guitar, meet my big meathooks.

Thanks, Matt for the heads up. If I do find out more I’ll definitely pass it on.

Great signature there.

I just downloaded an app called Guitarism that seems pretty cool for what it is.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/guitari ... 07446?mt=8
